Nissan Twin-Turbo 350Z Tokyo Drift Test: Drift King

Testing the bad guy's turbocharged Nissan from The Fast & the Furious: Tokyo Drift

Every movie has a protagonist (the hero) and an antagonist (the bad guy). While the protagonist ends up with the girl, it always seems the antagonist has more fun. In The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift the bad guy is "The Drift King," and his ride is this twin-turbo Nissan 350Z. That's fun.Eleven 350Zs actually portrayed the Drift King's mount — including those built to wreck. And this is one of the two primary cars equipped with an APS twin-turbo system (a $7,500 kit through most shops) breathing into the 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine. With APS's turbo-back exhaust system and some Magnaflow mufflers to quiet it down, there should be at least 450 horsepower available at the crank in this car. There's probably more.Beaten in every way a car could be, the Tokyo Drift 350Z wore scars along its Veilside Version 3 wide-body kit, but started instantly to settle into a humming idle like a taxiing F-18. The Nissan 350Z is stiff when it's unmodified, and the 19-inch Veilside rims covered with Toyo Proxes 285/30R19 T1Rs and RSR lowering springs make it stiffer. But it's how the pavement crackles and snaps under those as they cross it that gives the twin-turbo 350Z its menace.The Sparco EVO L driver seat won't let anyone with a wide hiney settle in and clamps in on anyone else like a vise grip. The six-speed transmission feeds back to a Nismo limited-slip differential, which makes launching the car at least straightforward like pulling the hammer of a Glock pistol back into the fully cocked position.The Drift King's 350Z doesn't launch easily; the revs have to stay up for the turbos and it will chatter the rear tires (after all, it was built to slide, not drag race). Still, it screamed to 60 mph in 5.7 seconds and blistered the quarter-mile in 13.2 seconds at 114.8 mph. The last stock 2005 350Z this site tested took 5.9 seconds to reach 60 and 14.6 seconds at 99.3 mph to complete the quarter-mile. With a 0-60 time only two-tenths quicker than stock, and a quarter-mile time nearly 1.4 seconds better, this is a car with more power than it can use off launch.With a little launch control, the twin-turbo Nissan 350Z would be running well in the 12s in the quarter-mile. In The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, the bad guy may not get the girl, but at least he gets to wherever he's going quickly.

movie review:silent hill(2006)

I recall reading somewhere that Stephen King once classified two types of horror. The first type was mental or psychological horror, featured in movies like Rosemary's Baby or Jacob's Ladder. The second type was the more physical, gross-out sort of horror used in 98% of the monster movies and slasher films. I'm having a hard time recalling any psychological horror films from the last five years or so. It seems like every film we've gotten lately settles for the much easier to pull off gross-out. Silent Hill, however, doesn't take the easy way out.

The film opens with an average suburban couple looking for their missing daughter. The young girl, Sharon, has a history of sleep walking and the parents haven't been able to find her anywhere in the house. After a harrowing search, they finally find her only to realize that she's still asleep and mumbling about a town called Silent Hill. Sharon has mentioned this place before and now her distraught mother, Rose, begins to think Silent Hill may be a secret from her daughter's past.

Determined to get to the root of suspected psychological trauma, Rose takes her adopted daughter on a trip to find the town of Silent Hill. Despite the closed lips of neighboring townspeople, Rose succeeds in finding Silent Hill. And much, much, more...

From the very beginning, Silent Hill grabbed my undivided attention and refused to let it go until the closing credits. The movie is extremely well paced with the tension continuing to build until its extremely intense climax. Having never played the game (Yes, this movie is based on a video game by the same name; no, that doesn't automatically make it lame. Bloodrayne did suck, but remember Resident Evil? That movie rocked!), I had no idea what was going to happen or how it was going to end. I was not only satisfied with the logic and progression of the plot, but the ending and wrap-up as well.

As Silent Hill is more location- than character-driven, I don't have too much to say about the film's cast. While the performances never blew me away, they never interfered with my enjoyment of the movie or my suspension of disbelief either. I will give credit to the casting director though, for placing normal looking actors in the movie instead of resorting to big names in order to sell more tickets. Perhaps this is only because none of the A-List showed interest, but I will hold that it was a clever casting decision in an effort to keep our attentions on mood and theme instead of pretty faces.

Kenapa orang kaya semakin kaya, kelas menengah bergumul terus,
dan yang miskin bablas miskin.

Kenapa orang kaya semakin kaya, karena begitu orang kaya penghasilannya
bertambah besar maka gaya hidupnya sementara tetap (menunda kesenangan).
Penghasilan yang lebih ini diinvestasikan kedalam asset (beli saham yang
menghasilkan deviden, rumah kost kost-an, ruko yang dikontrakkan, Mall yang
disewakan, sarang walet, usaha-usaha yang menghasilkan, dll). Sedemikian
sehingga penghasilan mereka bertambah besar. Dan ketika penghasilan mereka
bertambah besar lagi, mereka investasikan lagi ke dalam asset tersebut diatas,
sehingga semakin kaya dan semakin kaya lagi.

Kenapa orang menengah bergumul terus secara financial? Ketika orang
menengah penghasilannya bertambah besar maka dia mencicil rumah yang
lebih besar, mobil yang lebih besar, handphone yang lebih canggih,
komputer yang lebih modern, televisi yang lebih besar, audio yang
lebih canggih dan banyak sekali uang untuk kewajiban sehingga masuk
kedalam pengeluaran. Orang menengah ini bisa memiliki rumah yang besar,
mobil yang besar tapi tidak mempunyai uang yang bekerja untuk dia. Dan
seumur hidupnya menjadi budak uang karena membayar cicilan semakin besar seumur hidupnya.

Kenapa orang miskin bablas miskin ?

Orang miskin tidak perduli seberapa besar pun penghasilannya semua akan masuk ke pengeluaran.

Contoh :

Orang miskin begitu penghasilannya bertambah besar mereka beli TV yang besar,
beli jamnya yang mahal, beli hp yang lebih baru, beli baju mahal, makan di
restoran mewah, ikut keanggotaan fitness, ikut asuransi yang tidak perlu, dll.

Bila penghasilan Anda bertambah besar, Anda belikan apa? Hal-hal yang
menghasilkan uang lagi atau hal-hal yang menghabiskan uang. Silahkan dijawab,

indonesia condition(januari-maret)

situ gintung lagi heboh dibicarakan
karena korban mencapai 100 jiwa direngut
penyebab bencana ini salah satunya kelalaian
pemerintah.sudah sejak lama tanggul ini diperhatinkan
karena semakin menambah volume air tetapi tanggul semakin menipis
oleh karena itu tanggul jebol.
dan baru sekarang pemerintah mengurus tanggul tersebut.
tanggal 9 april akan diadakan pemilu
tetapi rakyat indonesia masih kebingungan memakai
hak pilihnya.
